SQUARE D Pressure Switch
A Square D pressure switch senses the pressure in a water system and sends an on or off signal to the pump based on the current pressure. The switch controls the pressure range in which the pump operates. The cut-in pressure is the lower number, and the pump turns on at that pressure. The cut-off pressure is the higher number, and the pump turns off at that pressure. Most submersible pump owners have a pressure switch preset to 40–60 pounds per square inch (psi).
